His available procedures are curated to ensure that whether you are a candidate or not for laser surgery, there is a solution that will give you clear sight free from contact lenses and glasses.

Serving the Nation, Serving Local

Dr. Merkley began his career by working at the Air Force’s largest hospital, the David Grant Medical Center. During his time there, he performed vision procedures for active Air Force and military members, retirees, and their families. Now, he has returned to serve patients in the same areas he grew up in. He is proud to provide corrective eye surgery for patients in Boise and across Idaho, bringing his full attention and care to every procedure, from minor fixes to life-changing LASIK eye surgery.

Restored vision means more than simply no longer needing glasses or contacts. Lasik surgery literally brightens the world around you, turning every moment into a crisp, defined experience rich in color, clarity, and beauty.

First a Patient, Then a Surgeon

Dr. Merkley knows first-hand the ways LASIK eye surgery can transform your life for the better. He also understands the worries that can pop up in the days or weeks leading up to your procedure. He gladly takes the time to ensure each patient fully understands their procedure, answering questions and providing details for peace of mind.

Uncompromising Safety

Vision is a precious thing, and Dr.  Michael Merkley keeps this in mind with every surgery. His uncompromising approach for ensuring patient safety has earned him a positive reputation among his patients. When you are in his office, you (and your eyes) are first priority. The outside world does not matter until your procedure is finished and your vision is at its best.
